I just so happened to see ~16Prayers doing this, and.. Well, I've seen it and considered it before, but decided against doing it. However, I've been artblocked like hell lately, so maybe this will help to clear that up. < w > It's a lot to add to my to-do list, I'm aware, but hey.. I can do this at my own pace, so it's not, like.. An impending thing.

That's right, I've decided to host a little contest! :3 What for, you may ask? Well...

As I stated above, I'm planning a webcomic, to be started sometime within the next few months. And, while most of the main characters have already been established, I think the cast needs a bit of rounding out. This is where you, my lovely watchers, come in. I would like to see people try their hand at creating their own character for Duality!

There are, of course, a few basic rules for character design, and I'll list those below, but aside from that, you may get as creative as you'd like. And, when the deadline comes along, me and a possible co-judge will choose our favorite entry, and this character will become a permanent part of Duality's cast! Sweet deal, huh?

Now, to get a couple of rules out of the way;
Characters must be one of the following races; Human, Korah, or Hybrid (i.e., Daco). I will not be allowing any other races for certain reasons.
Characters may or may not have some sort of relationship with an existing character, familial, romantic, or otherwise. It's up to you! However, if you choose to connect your character with an existing one, there must be a plausible explanation for this. Also, please keep in mind that Dimitri and Dylan are not available ;D
The story's setting is a modern one, so keep your characters modern as well, please!
:bulltered: To enter, just create a drawing (or a detailed description, for you writers out there) of your character, along with a description of them; abilities, personality, backstory... Anything you deem to be important to them.
Entries should be in by July 10th, 2009 at 12:00 PST. Anything submitted later than this will, sadly, have to be rejected.
Be creative with your character! This contest, like most, is based on creativity and not artistic abilities.

I believe that about covers it. Also, please keep in mind that the winning character will still, of course, be your property. However, by submitting to this contest, you're agreeing to giving me full artistic license to use them in the story. But don't worry, I won't be too mean. ;3
